Irene was a young woman with a slender build and long, black hair. She usually wore an ao dai sporting her family's colors, red, green, and gold, as well as a headpiece. She wore a gold ring on her right hand.
As a descendant of the Haussmann bloodline, Irene's draconic heritage manifests physically as eyes with black sclera and red/gold pupils, and her face's skin bore deep cracks. By virtue of her genie patron's magic, she was usually disguised to appear more human, with smooth skin and eyes a lighter red.
Irene was raised from early childhood to be a savvy and at times ruthless businesswoman. She was disinterested in the plights of others, and viewed most relationships as transactional at best. She had a talent for seeing how to leverage another person, either via cajoling, bribery, or blackmail.
Irene was highly ambitious, and eager to prove herself, both to the world at large and to her family.
After meeting and fighting alongside the rest of the Platinum Fighters, Irene grew to respect others more. Though she remained ambitious and bold, she developed genuine friendships and went out of her way on a number of occassions to help others for their own sakes.
Irene was a competent swordfighter, having been trained in the art of swordplay by Adrian Darrow. She preferred to fight with a rapier, but was practiced with many forms of combat.
For several generations, the head of the Zauner family has, in secret, enjoyed the blessing of magic courtesy of their Dao patron, Majahna Al'Ahjar. Irene leveraged this magic to conjure darkness and shape the earth into spikes to impede and harm her foes. She was capable of seeing through darkness, both mundane and magical.
As her power grew, she learned to manifest and control echoes of herself, versions of her that were or could be. She also conjured a familiar, Bibajubi the earth spirit, who appeared at most times as a toucan.
Her draconic bloodline did not manifest as prominently as it had in her cousin, but in times of damage, she could create spectral draconic wings to protect herself or her allies.
Irene's ring housed an extradimensional space which she could retreat into for a limited amount of time each day. The ring itself could be damaged or destroyed, but could be restored via a ritual, and could only be accessed by Irene herself.
Irene claimed the Panicking Dagger from her victory of Mariz, the Second Daughter of the Fell Knight. This dagger struck true against fleeing opponents and, as the name suggests, could induce a panic in its victims.
Among the many artifacts of the Fell Knight, Irene was particularly drawn to the Mantle of Command and its ability to dominate the wills of others.
