The half-elven son of Vilrel of the Twilight Elves. Raised alone by his human mother, the pair were supported by supplies and money from Leotar's father. When his shipments stopped coming, Leotar set out to the Wanderglade to learn about his heritage. Once there, he learned the ways of the bladesinger for 7 years, before setting out on an adventure to find his now-missing father.
Leotar was a tall and slender man with tanned skin and short dark brown hair. His elven heritage was not immediately apparent, on account of the beard he had grown.
Owing to discrimination he faced in his youth, Leotar took great offense to injustice and prejudice. He made great effort to aid those in need, oftne being the first to offer a hand. He also had a strong sense of personal responsibility, and would strive to right whatver wrongs he had a hand in, whether inadvertantly or knowingly.
Leotar was trained for 7 years in the ways of the Bladesong, and employed its lion form, an aggressive offensive style. While bladesinging, his agility on the battlefield was enhanced, allowing him to strike enemies and protect himself with grace.
His study of the arcane arts was kept in his spellbook. He was proficient in a wide variety of magical disciplines, and even originated his own spell - Leotar's Twilight Legacy, which further bolstered his swordplay.
Leotar would rarely be seen without his familiar Aiwenor. She would most commonly appear in the form of a light-feathered tawny owl.
Leotar carried with him at all times the Sword of Twilight, an heirloom of the Twilight Elves. During his journey, as his connection with it deepened, he would come to know Galithar, the spirit that resided within the blade. The two would commune occassionally, with Galithar offering guidance and wisdom.
He wore an Amulet of Health to give him more resilience on the battlefield.
For a time, Leotar was the owner of the Bracer of Harm. Though the bracer itself was cursed, Leotar through fortitude or fortune never fell victim to its ill effects.
Leotar cycled through a number of wands over the course of his adventure, though most had their magic spent over the course of the journey.
